3. What kind of media institutions might distribute your media product and why?

I have created a sci-fi film for a male audience between the ages of 15-25 as my film contains violence and gore which is very mainstream as this is what most Hollywood films contain. I would gain interest in production companies by showing them the intro and showing them the response it had on my audience through the use of my questionnaires. The benefit of entering an independent filmmaking competition is for publicity and so people can watch your film and give you criticism and there opinion on the film as to what they think you did well and what they think you did not so well. I would generate buzz by using social media and word of mouth as it is cheap and effective as well as uploading trailers to YouTube as this is where most people gain an interested from films.
