5. How did you attract/address your audience?

The particular element in my film that will attract my audience is the genre as it is a sci-fi and my audience are 15-25 year old and they enjoy the sci-fi genre also the content as it contains violence and gore which again males enjoy to watch. Unfortunately there are no females within the media product of which I have created so this may be a criticism by women should they choose to watch the film. My film references other sci-fi through the use of costume and camera effects such as alien vision being different and having the stereotypical green alien suit as the bad guy or the alien being a bad guy and humans being the heroes. But this is similar to other sci-fi which have done well in the past so this film should do just as well as them as they contain the same elements that a spectator are used to but the plot is different. The only contemporary issue with my film is its lack of female actors as women may find this offensive as they may think I did not wish to work with female but this is untrue as the intimal film contained a female role but was cut due to the actor dropping out. I have received feedback from spectators viewing my film mostly feedback was good but most said that it required some improvement in areas in which I acted upon. The importance of hooking your audience in their opening scene is vital if it is a new film and not a sequel or prequel as the first few scenes set the tone for the rest of the film. My opening scenes are action packed and intense which sets the tone for the rest of the film. This hooks the male audience as they stereotypically love action and violence.
