7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the main task?

I have used generic aspects of mise-en-scene as in costume where space suits and a traditional green alien costume these are typically seen in sci-fi films. The props where modern day weapons but it was set on earth and the aliens did not rely on technology. The narrative sequence is generic and typical to a sci-fi as it involves a spaceship, astronauts and aliens. The actors used where the only ones available so I had to work with what I had they fit rather well though. The sound track was not copyright and fir well with the overall product. Editing was easy and gave off the sci-fi generic vibe such as the alien’s vision and the uses of camera shots. Such as the pan to reveal the alien right at the last second. The titles and texted where easy to insert and also fit well with the opening scene as they are the only thing on the screen at the time this is like the star wars franchise. The sound was the most difficult as the wind made it difficult to hear the music and the actor so I had to edit that out.
